Debbie & Erin from Kildeer Illinois chose to complement their Ludwig Drum kit with UFIP Natural Series cymbals. Very nice choice for their music room featuring this drum set and baby grand piano.

David G , a great Italian-American man living here in Illinois, went all UFIP on his Mapex Kit- Class Hats & Crash, Bionic Ride & Brilliant Crash.

 

“Boomer” will be bringing this very cool, very dry Vintage Ride down to Tennessee when he moves there soon. This cymbal was extremely dynamic when i played it here in my shop and like Boomer said, “I’ve never heard anything like it”.The folks down in Tennessee are just gonna go nuts!

 

 

Mark from the UK is a pleasant young chap who has quite a set up including some heavy duty electronics, multiple foot switches & pedals! His UFIP’s include Bionic, Natural, Class and Rough… He actually mentioned to forgive the Sabian China in the pic. It’s alright Mark, in all fairness Sabian makes some nice cymbals too. Cheers!

 

 

Chris from Cincinatti Ohio drove non-stop, ignoring all traffic lights and rules of the road to do some hands on demos. Actually he just happened to be around Chicago and stopped by the shop… He picked out a 17″ Brilliant crash & 21″ Bionic medium Ride to take back with him. Very cool cymbals for a very cool guy. Thanks Chris.

 

I met Dave at the 2007 Chicago Drum Show. He came by the shop a few months later and picked up an 8′’ Class Series Medium Splash. Very sweet sounding Splash cymbal. Dave, thanks for spending time at my Booth sampling cymbals. Thank you for choosing UFiP!

Desmond in Canada purchased a beautiful 22′’ Heavy Bionic Ride and 15″ Heavy Bionic hats from me last May. It took him forever to send me a picture of his kit!!! But the man came through… you’re a good man Desmond… a damn good man. You’re kit looks like a blast too!

 

Tom has been waiting for his 18″ Rough crash to come in for a while now. I only had it out of the box for a minute before he came charging through the door. He would have gotten here faster, but that fuzzy mushroom cloud on his head slowed him down (like some kind of parachute perhaps). Just kidding with ya bro, we love you Tom, Keep it up!!!

 

  

I first met John at the 2007 Chicago drum show, he came by OFFBEAT on August 25th and picked up a UFiP Class 10″ splash during our store-wide sale.

 

Ron Picked up a very sweet 22″ Rough Series Ride that had great stick defintion and a bell with the coolest overtones, he also picked up a Class Series 15″ Fast Crash. Ron just joined a band with a local guitarist named Rocco… Hmmm, Italian/American rockers with UFiP’s in the mix, isn’t that a beautiful thing?

 

Tyler from Grayslake just happened to walk in my shop looking for another music store that is about 20 minutes away from me, he wanted to buy cymbals there … he walked out of my shop with an awesome pair of UFiP 14″ Class Series Heavy Hi Hats. Tyler now owns hats just as colorful as his poncho! Welcome to the UFiP family Tyler.

 

Josh Skaja is the second person in the United States to purchase a set of Hi-Hats from the new Extatic Series. He chose a pair with a very light, low pitch top hat. These Hi Hats are very warm… just like Josh’s heart.

While stopping by the shop for just some resonant heads, Fred couldn’t help but pick up our 14″ Experience “Real” China. This is really a great cymbal that gets a lot of attention… just ask Fred.

 

Bill from Pensacola, Florida recently added a sweet 12″ Natural Series splash to his elaborate set up. Thanks Bill!

 

New drummers on the scene! Father & son team Greg & Kevin from Bloomingdale, Illinois purchased a whole set of Class Series for their Ludwig Custom Elite drum kit. Welcome to the wonderful world of drumming guys!

 

The Berrelez Brothers with Papa B! As you can tell from the Berrelez pack, Papa B likes to keep things uniform and they now have UFiP exclusively on their Tama Rockstar kit.

 

Bruce picked up a 20″ Experience Series Flat Ride. This is a real beauty…not Bruce, I’m talking the cymbal… Eh what the hell, Bruce you’re beautiful too. 

Marc Lockett, a great friend for many years, came by and picked up 2 new crashes. Marc went with a 17″ Rough Series and an 16″ Bionic to rock with his band Random X Band. Marc has been wanting to make the switch to UFiP and today was the day! He called me at 4am after his gig to tell me how happy he was with the purchase… Thanks Marc!!!! 

At the Chicago Drum Show 2008 Brian from the band “Timmy Middle Finger” picked up a 20″ Extatic Series Medium Ride. This is the exact cymbal that was hand picked at the foundry & reviewed by Will Romano in the June o8 issue of MODERN DRUMMER. I’m confident Brian will add much, much more to the already interesting history of this cymbal. Oh, and we took Brian out to the car and gave him a more proper T-Shirt to wear now.

 

Long time student and great drummer Patrick picked up a cool 16″ Rough Series crash and performed a drum solo at OFFBEAT’s September 13th 2008 Music Recital!

Adrian from England was visiting Chicago and was referred by his Instructor Simon “Daddyfunk” Greenhill, who is a huge UFiP fan & great customer of mine, to stop by the shop and check out some cymbals. Although Adrian came thinking he would pick up a Sabian HHX, the gent left with a wonderful 18″ Brilliant Crash, it was love at first strike. Thank you Adrian & Simon….

Alan from Ireland took advantage of our Used UFiP Sale purchasing a 17″ Class Fast Crash & some accessories, here’s what he had to say…
